These songs are in my mind… The first is from 2000 (though I was exposed to it more recently, and it’s been on Soma FM’s Secret Agent this week) and one from earlier this year.
Bebel Gilberto’s So Nice (Summer Samba).
Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso, astutely identified as a song of summer by [some site] earlier this year, it really does have that ‘vibe.’ (I’m not one for ‘vibes,’ but I’ve been using that word lately, mostly for humor.) Carpenter performed at Outside Lands 2024 and I caught this performance (on Twitch – I’m too lazy to stand outside), and I still like it.
I should also travel everywhere with four backup singers/dancers! It would… make my slide presentations and meetings more memorable.
