Caption: (View looking back toward the pass, which is on the left...) After we climbed over Bond Pass and descended into the Yosemite wilderness, we joked that it was all downhill from there. On average this was true. However, after descending gradually from meadow to meadow (created by dammed parts of the glacial valleys that filled with sediment), we had to climb a massive moraine ridge called, fittingly, Moraine Ridge.
It was difficult: loose, sandy, steep climbing.
